Mowing the Lawn

If anyone is in need of a good gardener, I have one available. He does not like grass, so he will only mow your patio and splash in the tiny puddles...Enjoy!

13 and 16 weeks

I know it has been way too long since a post. There is so much to catch up on like Thanksgiving, Christmas and miscellaneous fun. This post is dedicated to Baby#2. We are due July 2, 2010 and won't know the sex until Feb 9th. I have been feeling better now that the nausea has gone away. I feel bigger than last time but when I look back at pictures, I think I'm about the same size. Here are some ultrasound pictures from 13 weeks and a belly shot of me at 16 weeks. Stay tuned...

Evan and the Tree

This Christmas Evan started to understand what was going on. Last year he was only 5 months old and didn't have a clue. We put the tree up and he was so excited. Check out his first few moments talking to the tree...

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! Friday at daycare was the Costume Parade. Each class had a theme and Evan's class dressed up as Andy Z. He is the hippie guitar playing guy that wears tie dyed shirts, baseball hats and sunglasses. He comes to the school to play once a month. On Saturday morning we got up and went to Uesugi Farms in Morgan Hill to pick out pumpkins to carve. We also went on the train that looped around the farm and the carousel. The train was fun but the carousel was scary and made me not feel too well. I guess I'm getting too old for fast rides!Todd picked out fabulous pumpkins...huge pumpkins...the biggest ones I have ever gotten! Evan picked out 4 little ones. One for him, Hadley, Nala and Callie. Those were not for carving.

This year Evan was a scary skeleton. Don't mind the goofy grin and Bears baseball hat. Hadley was a witch! We spent the afternoon at The Fays prepping the yard for the trick or treaters who dare come to the door...Boo!Evan and Hadley got into their costumes in the early evening and by 6pm they were knocking on doors. First stop...Frank's house! Evan was not shy about going right up and he was so kind and got 2 pieces of candy. One for him and one for Hadley. He liked going to the door so much, he wanted to go in! After 4 houses, we called it a night. Headed back to the house and handed out candy to the kids that came after dark. Here's our skeleton in all his scariness!!!

Pajama Day!

Today is the first "last" day of the month that Evan has been at his new daycare. He actually seems excited about going in and was very helpful in opening the doors. The last day of the month is Pajama Day and everyone, including teachers, wear their pj's to school!
For those who are actually looking at a calendar, yes today is Thursday and not technically the last school day of the month. Friday is Halloween Dress up day and Costume Parade so Pajama Day came one day early.

Funny things...

Evan has become quite a character lately. He loves his new Puma's, wearing Daddy's baseball hat and just being a goofball!

Funny, funny guy...

The Real Camping Trip

We finally made it to Big Basin for our first official real camping trip. The Fay clan joined us including Callie! All 8 of us piled into the two cars and headed down after lunch. While the boys unpacked and set up the camp, the girls entertained the babies and explored the campsite.
Evan and Hadley were very interested in everything and loved walking up and down the hill at the edge of our site.
We finally found a use for the hook-on high chair...picnic tables! Evan and Hadley took turns eating in shifts since we did not have a high chair and Hadley was nice enough to share.(Can you see Nala in the background? Just look for her glowing eyes!)There were logs to walk on (and jump off of) and pine needles to pick up. Even though we were in nature, the babies were still so entertained by an empty yogurt container, a red "to-go" cup and their plastic balls.
We also did some lounging around.
Happy Camping!!!
