Pajama Day!

Today is the first "last" day of the month that Evan has been at his new daycare. He actually seems excited about going in and was very helpful in opening the doors. The last day of the month is Pajama Day and everyone, including teachers, wear their pj's to school!
For those who are actually looking at a calendar, yes today is Thursday and not technically the last school day of the month. Friday is Halloween Dress up day and Costume Parade so Pajama Day came one day early.

Funny things...

Evan has become quite a character lately. He loves his new Puma's, wearing Daddy's baseball hat and just being a goofball!

Funny, funny guy...

The Real Camping Trip

We finally made it to Big Basin for our first official real camping trip. The Fay clan joined us including Callie! All 8 of us piled into the two cars and headed down after lunch. While the boys unpacked and set up the camp, the girls entertained the babies and explored the campsite.
Evan and Hadley were very interested in everything and loved walking up and down the hill at the edge of our site.
We finally found a use for the hook-on high chair...picnic tables! Evan and Hadley took turns eating in shifts since we did not have a high chair and Hadley was nice enough to share.(Can you see Nala in the background? Just look for her glowing eyes!)There were logs to walk on (and jump off of) and pine needles to pick up. Even though we were in nature, the babies were still so entertained by an empty yogurt container, a red "to-go" cup and their plastic balls.
We also did some lounging around.
Happy Camping!!!

Children's Museum

We joined the Children's Discover Museum this summer. I thought it would be fun for Evan to get out and about to see and learn about new things. There is one in San Jose near our house and another one in Sausalito near Aunt Sarah.Evan loves the "plinko" wall and the cyclone ball table. He also loves to pick up the purple soft blocks like He-Man.

The museum near Aunt Sarah has more outdoor things like a river with fish and frogs (yes, they are plastic) and a fun puppet show area. Evan loved the show Sarah put on for us!

First Haircut

Today was a big day for Evan. He had his first haircut! He sat in Todd's lap and was pretty good. He was not super excited but it did turn out pretty good. Of course I cried because he's not my little baby anymore, he's a boy.
I think in the end his hair turned out nice and it is out of his eyes.
