Sit up straight!

A new milestone for Ryan...he's sitting up! He's still a little wobbly but he sat up for a full 5 minutes tonight and was so super happy!

Gobble Gobble

We had a little Thanksgiving prep earlier this week. We made cornbread and a "Really Big" gingerbread man. I know it's a bit more Chrismasy than it is for Thanksgiving but it was fun for Evan to decorate. We attempted to eat the cookie but it was SO stale.
After decorating the cookie, Evan decided to show his "animal friends" the cornbread. Yes, that is Stripes and Monkey looking at the cornbread with Evan (cornbread was on the stovetop).

Oops I did it again...

(Evan 5 months)

Ryan started eating solid food tonight. We have tried a few times but he just stares at us. Tonight he did open his mouth and actually ate some. The funny thing is, is that he's wearing the same outfit that Evan wore the first time HE had cereal!

Happy Halloween

This year Evan sorta knew what was going on with Halloween. They had prepared their costumes at preschool all week. As a class, they were a big green caterpillar. Unfortunately Evan was home sick on Friday, so was unable to dress up. As soon as I can get him to get into his costume, I'll post that picture (it's a cardboard box, painted green with pipe cleaner legs).
We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday and managed to get good, big pumpkins despite the misty rain. After naps, The Fay's came over and we carved pumpkins. They turned out pretty good!
On Halloween night, we went to The Fay's to trick-or-treat. Argh Matey! Evan was a pirate and was a happy camper. Ryan was a cow and was not sure what was going on but went along with all the festivities. Hadley was a cowgirl with bling! Everyone had fun!
Evan and Hadley were into checking out decorations and pointing out spiders, ghosts and pumpkins. I think my favorite part of the weekend was watching the kids dance to the skeleton head at The Fay's.

Yes, the rumors are true. The second child does get neglected. Ryan's name is finally on the wall! Love you little man!

Hanging with my uncles

Evan, Ryan and I took Nanny up to San Francisco to meet up with Uncle Michael and Uncle Kirk. We had lunch at Boudin Bistro and then walked around the wharf and saw a submarine and some cool construction trucks.

Mad Men date

We were at Kelli and Brian's house on Sunday for our weekly Mad Men dinner and movie. Ryan and Brooke were in the "jungle" and they reached out and grabbed each others hands...too cute!

One Month already

Hi All! Ryan is already 1 month old! It's so hard to believe...His is quite the growing boy. Today was his 1 month check up and he's weighing in at 10lbs, 14oz (that's the birth weight of his cousin Grayson). With healthy boys all around here is what 1 month, 7 weeks and 2 years looks like.

Terrific Two's

TWO IS COOL!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Evan!!! I can't believe my baby has turned 2! Where did the time go? Evan has grown into quite the little man. He's such a good boy...we could not be prouder. He has gone through alot of changes over the last few weeks--started preschool, got a baby brother and turned 2! He's transitioned very well on all fronts.
Evan had a super fun birthday party. Mumsie, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Aaron came. Grayson graced us with his presence too! Ryan was so polite and slept the entire party! His friends Hadley, Chase and Thomas came to celebrate with burgers, sweet potato fries and cake!!!

DOUBLE TROUBLE

The pinata was a big hit and Evan is still talking about pulling the strings to drop out the toys. It was not nearly as hot as it was last year which was a welcome surprise. Evan was fortunate enough to be given so many wonderful presents (thank you everyone). He has definitely outgrown some of his "baby" toys and is ready to move on to his big boy toys. See Evan shooting hoops in the video below (thanks Uncle Evan and Auntie Ellie)MUMSIE and GRAYSON (6 weeks)

Announcing...

We are proud to announce the arrival of Ryan Edward Guerrieri. Ryan was born via C-section on Wednesday, June 30 at 8:20am. He weighed 9lbs, 5oz and is 22 inches long. Evan is super excited to be a big brother and is very helpful with diaper changes, putting Ryan in the swing and going on walks. We are settling into being a family of four (plus dog!). So far, 2 kids is not much more work. I'm sure in the coming weeks and months, things will get more hectic but for now we are enjoying our first few weeks with Ryan. The Allen Family will get a chance to meet Ryan at Evan and Ellie's wedding in October...see you then!Morning of C-section
