...Love??

We are here because of ...Love? No. For Baptism. Evan is a legitimate Catholic. We got him Baptized the weekend of his birthday so our family could partake in the festivities. I don't think it's standard protocol but we went to In-N-Out Burger for lunch prior to the ceremony. After lunch, we squeezed Evan into the Christening gown that I wore when I was Baptized a hundred years ago.

Even though it was 100F, he did not like the water pouring on his head.

I tried not to laugh when the Miss America theme music was hummed by the godparents. I was not sure of the exact use of the sash and made Evan a beauty pageant contestant for a few moments until his Godmother Sarah sorted him out.

Party time

Okay, I know it has been way too long since I have left a post. So I have to get caught up. Evan's 1st birthday was a success! He had a great time despite it being SO hot. Next time we will have to get misters for the backyard :) Thanks to all our family and friends for helping Evan celebrate the big day! We love you!Friday (his real birthday) we went for a walk at Rancho San Antonio Park to Deer Hollow Farm and got to see all sorts of animals...sheep, goats and piglets! Uncle Michael, Aunt Gretchen and Aidan joined us. It was also Maureen's birthday and she and Hadley joined us too! It was a great day.
Saturday was Evan's party and lots of kids in the neighborhood came over for the fun! We needed some help with the pinata bashing. Lots of candy for all!
