What a week!

This week was very eventful. We started out by having lunch with Colleen & Neil on Wednesday. This was the first time he met them and he really liked them! Colleen and Neil recently got engaged so maybe we can get them some practice babysitting before they have babies of their own!
Thursday night, Evan had his first playdate with Chase. We met Chase's parents in our birth prep class and since they live really close to us, we thought it would be great to get together and eat some pizza. The babies hit it off right away! More playdates to come...
On Friday, Evan got to meet his Uncle Evan who he is named after. Evan and Ellie drove up from LA to hang with us for the weekend. This was the first time Evan and Evan met. We hope Little E is as smart, funny and loving has his uncle.
The weekend was just beginning and we got a phone call at 6:45am on Saturday morning from our friend Jeff saying Maureen's water had broken! We were to get their dog Callie later in the morning since Jeff was going to be at the hospital over the weekend with Mo. After Evan, Ellie, Todd and I got brunch, we got another call saying she was going to have the baby in 20 minutes and we had to get to the hospital right away. We jumped in the car and raced to the hospital just in time for the doctor to come in and say they were going to start pushing! 15 mintues later Hadley Broderick Fay was born. A beautiful baby girl! Evan and Hadley don't know it yet but they are going to be the best of friends...and no, they will not be allowed to date!
We still had so much more to do for the long weekend and on Sunday Todd, Evan and I went to Sarah & Aaron's in Mill Valley for a BBQ. Evan and Ellie also drove up for the kebobs, corn on the cob and wine. The seven of us spent the afternoon laughing so hard we cried! We also got to meet Marley for the first time. Marley is Sarah & Aaron's new Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. She's 16 weeks old and the sweetest and most well behaved puppy you will ever meet.
By Monday we are all exhausted from the adventures of the week. We wind down with Evan getting a bubble bath and cuddle with Daddy. More to come in the Adventures of Evan!!!
